Gemini has suffered years of neglect.  Then, she was turned into the shelter for euthanasia.  We went to get her and found a skinny, scared girl with parasites and heartworms.  She even had adult demodex, which is only gotten from malnutrition and living in filth.  When you would try to touch Gemini anywhere near the head or ear, she would let out a low growl, and if you didn't stop, she would raise her lips at you.  Her reaction was clearly a fear of being hurt.
Now that we have had Gemini a bit and she has seen what it is to live with love and a loving touch, she has just blossomed!  People who saw her when she first arrived cannot even believe she is the same dog!!  She is so sweet and loving.  She loves having her ears rubbed and will come and sit in front of you and give you her paw so you will scratch her chest!  She is a true love!  Gemini has filled out, and is healthy except for her heartworms.  She is low positive and is just on preventive.  She is getting healthy enough to be spayed and is ready for adoption.  She will make a wonderful addition to any home looking for some extra love and sweetness.  Please come take a look at her today!

This beautiful Dane boy has not has a great start in his life.  Purchased as a puppy, he got into trouble when, at 12 weeks old he was left alone, uncrated in the house.  As any puppy would, he chewed things.  He was banished to a 30' tether in the backyard.  He came inside in the evenings, but was so needy of attention by then that his owners found his behavior irritating.  So, he was turned in to rescue.

Formerly named Harley, we have renamed him Stetson because we believe he is going to be a BIG boy!  He is already, at just under 6 months of age, approximately 28" tall!  Stetson is very smart!  He learned "sit" in one short training session.  He has had no real exposure to rules and structure, so he is playing catch up in his learning now.  He does not like being left alone, or if you put him outside by himself, but he is becoming more secure with each passing day.  His new owners will need to take him to obedience class.

Stetson is a sweet, sweet dog.  He is gentle and loving and playful.  He is a great cuddler and loves to sleep with his person.  Stetson is doing well with 12 other dogs and 5 cats.  Because of his lack of training, he will need a firm leader who is willing to show him things he should already know.  He is a very quick learner and will make someone such a devoted, loving companion and family member.
